Perfumes normally have 3 sets of scents... better known as Top or Head Notes, Middle or Heart Notes and Base Notes. All three are combined together to create a perfect "HARMONY" of scents.
Top or Head Notes are the FIRST impressions of the perfumes, the first scent that you smell after applying the perfume and typically last only for SECONDS to MINUTES then fade off..
then comes the Middle Note or the Heart Notes. Considered as the HEART of the PERFUME, because it gives the long and memorable impression of the perfume. This is the scent that we normally remembers about our favorite perfume and it will last up to a COUPLE of HOURS before fading off.
Last but definitely not the least, is the Base Notes. as the name suggests, as the BASE, it carries all the impression of the top notes and the heart notes mixed with its own scent creating a perfect "MELODY" of scents. and Base Notes are the scents that will last the LONGEST.
